3、Mechanism and clinical use:
Febuxostat is a new generation of xanthine oxidase inhibitor, which is used in the treatment of hyperuricemia (gout). The KI and Ki 'values of XOR inhibition were 0.6 and 3.1 nm, respectively. The inhibition of XOR by febuxostat was not affected by the redox state of the enzyme. In vitro studies have shown that purine is not only highly selective, but also highly selective.
